I feel so cheated by the Atlanta Falcons that I can't even think straight. Here are just random thoughts that are coming to me as the Falcons basically end their 2006 season with a loss to the New Orleans Saints.Roddy White should not be starting in the NFL, but I have no animosity towards him. The coaching staff knows he is a bust and puts him on the field anyway. Which is why Mora, Jr., Gregg Knapp should be fired.
Michael Vick was the only one that showed up today and no one guy can win a game by himself.
DeAngelo Hall has a big mouth, it's just a shame his game isn't as big.
You're Greg Knapp, it's first down, what play do you call?
A) Run up the middle.
B) Run to the left.
C) Run to the right.
D) Let Vick run it either up the middle, to the left or to the right.
Why does the defense always decide to start pressuring the quarterback in the second half, once they are already behind?
Jim Mora, Sr. thinks that Mike Vick is a coach killer and is not a passer. Well, it's hard to be a passer if you have no one to catch the ball.
Jim Mora, Jr. is a team killer, and will never be a great head coach.
The Falcons organization owes its fans an apology for this season. That, or they should all show up at my house, give me $75 each, then sit down and watch me do something poorly for four hours.

I agree, White should not be allowed to start.
As far as defense, you cant get to overworked, being half of their defense is hurt, or not playing at 100% healthy.
They should just lose out the rest of the season, get some good draft picks, and pick a few receivers that can catch the ball when they are hit in the hands.

This is another example of a team that is not prepare to play.
The question where do we go from here. It a shame that this losing trend was just a matter of time.
I hope that the oranzation begin to realize that everyone in our division have gotton better. I feel like Micahel will have to leave Atlanta to win a Superbowl. I am still a fan and support the Atlanta Falcons. But it very hard to watch a team with this type of talent lose. Who do you blame ?

I am a native Atlantan. I have been a Falcons Fan since birth. I am used to frustrating seasons and used to lowsy Falcons teams, however even in the days of Steve Bartkowski, and David Archer, heck even Chris Miller, we AT LEAST were able to play the game of football to an extent. The Falcons ran the ball and caught the ball. USUALLY the quarterback was too busy getting killed to get the ball to the recievers but Vick is throwing it to them sometimes at least and these BOZOS couldn't catch a cold in Chicago!!! As for our great "running game" Dunn is a great humanitarian and a great role model for how professional athletes can be humble but he is not big enough and does not hit the whole hard enough to move the ball on short yardage. FINE get rid of Duckett we don't need the payroll drain but find some other stud that is hungry and wants to bang it inside! Falcons want answer as to what to do next??? Play everybody you got and evaluate them for the rest of this year...let's start the preseason early and figure out what Papa Blank can spend his money on next year. I hope it is not Mora...and I hope it's not Vick but if it is at least find some recievers that know what a footall looks like!!!

The Falcons are a great team with a very mediocre coach. It burned my ass when Mora in their first meeting with the Saints proclaimed he was happy for them. What legitimate coach would make that kind of statement. It certainly would not be Sean Payton or Bill Parcells. - Get rid of Mora and watch this team reach its full potential,

Food for thought on Coach Jim E. Mora. He was defensive backs coach for the San Fransisco 49ers when the 49ers defensive team wasn't so good. About MIchael Vick get him some receivers who can catch the football. Michael may be Superman but he even he can't be Mr. Fantastic without teammates who can help win games.

It's a total disgrace to have 2 recievers Jenkins and White be this terrible Vick's lack of maturity Mora's arrogance and lack of talent at key positions shows Falcon fans once more this team is overhyped with too many underachievers

Roddy White was not even a college All-American...why should he have been a first round pick and also expected to be a #1 receiver? HE PLAYED AT FREAKING UAB!!!! What a college powerhouse. He stinks and should be released tonight!! With picks like Michael Jenkins, Mr. Blanks should start firing from the top down. I would have walked in the locker room after the game and told Jim Mora to STFU and get to packing, Roddy White would not have even been allowed to shower. Get your stuff and get the hell out.

At least Atlanta has made it to a Super Bowl. The Saints have never made it past the 2nd round in the playoffs. Watch out "The Saints Are Coming". We will be in the Super Bowl in the next 3 years.

The simple fact is that the Falcons were overhyped by the media. This was and still is a 8 & 8(500) football team. They proved it time amd time again. Some of you are correct in your evaluation of the coachinfg staff and of Mike Vick and his team mates. This is not a playoff team!!! The coaching staff is ultamately responsible. You can't fire all the players so the coaching staff must go first. After that the players will be re-evaluated and then they will realize that Mike Vick and this Falcon team are just an ave football team which was overhyped by the media and their own head coach.

Vick is a great QB when his wide revivers catch the ball. The 2 good weeks he had the revivers decide to catch the ball. This off-season the falcons need to sign an all around wide reviver not one that can the catch the ball, but is slow Agle Crumpler. Or a wide reviver that is fast, but cannot catch Ashley Leile. Or a Wide reviver that do none Michael Jenkins and Roddy White. For Michael Vick to do good he needs a real wide reviver.

Vick showed some real class after the game by shooting the bird at the very people who pay their hard earned money to watch him play football. Real nice Vick.

My family has been a Falcon's fan since 1986 (reminds me of the Braves in 1986). Michael Vick should NEVER have been a quarterback. He is a gifted player, no doubt, but not as quarterback - he is not a leader. He would be a great wide receiver!!!!! Jim Mora is not a good coach. If Michael Vick is to stay as quarterback, he needs a coach that leads, not a coach that is a "friend". Give us Mick Ditka, Bill Parcell, etc., etc., etc. When you coach in the NFL, you need to be a LEADER, not a friend. As for Mick Vick giving the fans the "finger" - well your upbringing will out!!!!! (Look at his brother, Marcus). We will no longer watch the Falcons until some changes are made. This "blog" does not even begin to express our disapointment - we were not looking for Superbowl (at least initially), but some GOOD football would be appreciated.
