Texas Tech tight end/fullback David Schaeffer recently disclosed that he bought his head coach Mike Leach a little something special for Christmas. "I'm a Bill O'Reilly fan. I listen to a lot of talk radio. G. Gordon Liddy. Rush Limbaugh. Sean Hannity. I like G. Gordon Liddy. I got Leach that Stacked and Packed Calendar. G. Gordon Liddy puts out this calendar. It's women in bathing suits holding guns. He talked about it; I figured he'd want it. Maybe that's why he put me on scholarship."
Seriously, that must be it. I mean how else does a guy with two catches for 10 yards in his career, earn a scholarship at pass-happy Texas Tech?
Girls with guns, man. Girls with guns. While Mike Leach tries to come off as a complex deep-thinker, it's nice to see he's a simple man at heart.
Schaeffer also has some well-developed ideas about Hillary Clinton's presidential aspirations.
"I'm really pretty outspoken about a lot of stuff - guns, abortion, stuff like that, just basic hard-line conservative views. See, I'm all for Texas seceding from the Union if Hillary Clinton gets elected president. That's an idea I've run across (Mike) Leach, and he thought it was a pretty good idea."This guy needs his own reality show. Stat.

2. Hey guy, you need to be around college athletics before you start writing about it. The way the system works is you get the scholarship first, THEN you get a CHANCE at some college states. Some scholarship athletes NEVER get stats. Thats how it works. There, I've taken the mystery out for you. But, I really think the issue is your personal bias. By the way, when did college states give you the license to speak! I thought that was somewhere in the Constitution. But then I don't know it all like you.

3. Steve - you don't make a lot of great points there. The fact that you take the time to read these posts means you do care. Your bias, obviously, is with the ACC. I know everyone besides you is ignorant in college fooball, which is very ironic. The fact is, every college athlete gets stats, and if they are good, gets scholarships. Do me a favor and meet me at the Nebraska spring football game. 70,000 fans and most importantly, stats for every player. There is no mystery there. The fact that you say some college athletes get no stats and get no state scholarships is ludicrous. Give me a name, i will find stats and scholarships - and ill be happy to give them to you - and we are all wanting to know what college athletics you have been around. And yeah, you are right, you dont know it all.
