Dirty Waters Reborn in Washington?

ESPN just showed some highlight clips of LaRon Landry in college, almost all of the hits were illegal and would be subject to a fine in the NFL. Hopefully his agent who was mugging for the camera earlier will factor all of the impending fines into his signing bonus. Because Roger Goodell could have this guy on speed dial.

The problem is that he leads with his helmet way too much. That old adage of "see what you hit" does not apply here. Now, this is a problem that could probably be fixed with coaching, but defensive players can be stubborn. Here are some videos of Landry's greatest hits. (Thanks to A Price Above Bip Roberts for these videos.)

At the :12 second mark here, you can see a text-book example of Landry leading with his helmet and getting under the quarterback's chin.
A couple of more videos here. They have a still video shot of Landry leading with his helmet, and some more illegal hits at :59 and 1:12 and 1:56. Some of the other ones are borderline, as he just misses the QBs head, but he is going to get himself into some real financial trouble here with some of these hits.

The final video one hit, that is probably borderline. But once he develops a reputation as a head-hunter, he is going to get fined for hits like this.
