The Pistons lost to the Bulls on Sunday, but at the very least they did emerge with the best highlight of the game: the Flip Murray on Kirk Hinrich facial. Murray completed his dunk with the requisite stare-down, giving Hinrich the evil eye while taking a few steps in his direction, and then continuing his chatter at the free-throw line. At first glance, it looks kind of silly: not only were the Pistons trailing 17 points, but Murray didn't even make his free-throw.
But wait! Watch the replay again and you'll see Murray is vindicated! Just before Hinrich goes down, he channeled his inner Bruce Bowen with a cheap shot at Murray's groin.
You can see it in the grainy picture above, and if you think that's just incidental contact, see for yourself below: it's somewhat apparent in the second replay and plain as day in the third:

Flip Murray's Dunk In, On and Over Kirk Hinrich's Face
Update: the league has decided against punishing Hinrich.

What a terrible thing to do to someone. If that was intentional, Hinrich should be ASHAMED of himself. That was flagrant. Athletes are amazingly fit, but not even the most fit can withstand many deliberate attacks in sports where "attacks" are not even ALLOWED!
Speaking of fit, please, Please, PLEASE vote for Laila Ali, ( Muhammed Ali's daughter) on Dancing With The Stars tonight (Mondays) at 8:00 on ABC. Laila is a magnificent dancer. To vote call 1 800-868-3406. You can vote from each different phone number at least 5 times I think. You can ALSO in ADDITION to the calls, vote ONLINE. Thanks!

Yeah, it looks like he got hit on purpose. But it also looks like when Kirk was taking the charge Flip kneed Kirk in the chest/face intentionally. Flip gets the call.
I don't believe in hitting below the belt in any given situation. But Kirk is not Bowen in any manner. Bowen makes it his career to be dirty.

It sure does look it. But I'll be willing to bet that Kirk was raising his arm to protect his face and due to the height difference, his hand hit where it shouldn't of. It was too quick to have been planned.

It did happen quick... but for inherently dirty players like Hinrich and Bowen, this stuff is instinct.

You guys might have a valid ,but look at when his hand is going towards Flips' junk. It's not until he already had a face full and falling backwards that he decided to hit him. If it were me as soon as I seen that he was going to tea bag me I would have done "whatever it took to reject his sack", not right ater.

Was it intentional? Dwayne Wade has his wrist sprained when Hinrich pulled it basically out-of-socket during the regular season. As a coach's kid, of course he learned the tricks.
Sad some people feel like they can't win playing fair.
I now see the whole Spur's team as dirty, because even if they don't all play dirty, it's a part of their game the whole team benefits from to win.

Comm'n guys......let it go. Intentional or not...that was a great dunk ..right in Hinrich's face. I doubt if he could think of hammering in the split second of that dunk. I think he was just protecting himself.

I don't think kirk did it on purpose. Flip teabags me all the time during practice. Some guys don't like or have never tried putting one in his mouth so kirk maybe be opposed to it. Who knows though, all i know is that i can't wait for the next practice so Mr. Murray and I can get re-acquainted

Come on guys, Kirk definitly punched him in the balls. I think it's obvious he didn't get him very good either. And taking the stance that any MAN should, NEVER HIT THE NUTZ. Chicks will never understand that even a rough breeze can make us puke, and then they'll compare it 2 getting hit in the tit. NO COMPARISON!!!!

You're a complete moron if you think that: 1. Kirky took a charge, as his feet were clearly on the line and back peddled as he was getting shamed 2. Flip "intentionally" kneed him in the chest. C'mon people, dunking requires one to gain a certain amount of altitude and if nazi boy wanted to get a face full of man junk, then so be it, Flip should be flattered. Flip sucks, but he definately made a fantastic dunk in that game.
